**** IMPORTANT – If your machine is an older model, please make sure your tank prefilters are in good condition and there is no backflow of Aluminium Oxide into your air lines or old foot switch. If Aluminium Oxide is able to enter the foot switch it will block and damage switch permanently. This will not be covered under warranty. ****

OLD MODELS SANDBLASTERS - TANK MIXING CHAMBER FILTERS

Inside the mixing chamber of older units there are single filters installed. These filters prevent sand from be blown “backwards” into the pneumatic system.

Each time the foot pedal is released, the air from the tank can leave the tank in both directions. Through the blasting nozzle and the foot pedal. (You can hear air escaping from the foot pedal if you release it)

If the filters are missing, abrasive can also be blown through the foot pedal and can block the pneumatic valve inside.  These filters are sometimes removed or partially removed by customers if the blasting performance gets worse.  As a result, the foot pedal is blocked a few days later.

NEW / CURRENT MODEL - MIXING CHAMBER CARTRIDGE FILTERS
